From our perspective, in order to attain a new level of virtuous conduct or regain the virtues lost, you may want to consider the following points that seem to give very good results. This method can be applied successfully to an organizational change involving values and business ethics:
- Dare to be different: This is all relative. Try to understand and be as much as you can, your true self. Any good thing you could be for a longer period of time is probably the most helpful indicator to find out who you really are! So the virtue which we call constancy or steadfastness (in Persian is called isteghamat**), which is also termed, courage, fortitude, will power, integrity, consistency and is a very important virtue that should be combined with any other virtue to make that virtue lasting (or even a true virtue you can count on!). A wise Persian is quoted to have said that you can attain to all other virtues if you choose one single virtue and demonstrate constancy with that virtue. ** "Steadfastness in the Faith is a sure testimony, and a glorious evidence of the truth. Even as (Mohammed) hath said: "Two verses have made Me old." Both these verses are indicative of constancy in the Cause of God. Even as He saith: "Be thou steadfast as thou hast been bidden."[1] (Baha'u'llah, The Kitab-i-Iqan, p. 233)

Choose a counselor, a consultant, a true friend or partner or seek association with class entities, faiths or organizations who may help you or act as facilitators to go thru change. These facilitators help us to solve the problems on different thinking levels that they were originally created. As Albert Einstein once said: " We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." http://www.einstein-quotes.com/ThinkingKnowledge.html
- Choose a virtue from virtue lists provided below and keep a record of how long you could demonstrate constancy on that virtue, (i.e. a day?, a week?, a month?, year or more) and try to increase the tempo to a higher level of constancy with that virtue. If you are not able to improve the tempo on that virtue, you may want to consider choosing another virtue and try to increase tempo on that virtue and shift over a number of other virtues so that you could have Positive experiences about those virtues. Do not forget the importance of humility, purity and prayerfulness ( this includes meditation after prayer followed by positive action!!
